John qualified as a Solicitor in 1986. He obtained a BCL from UCC in 1983 and completed a post-graduate LLB Specialising in Employment Law. He was one of the original founding members of the firm in 1993. 

He represents both Employers and Employees in all aspects of Employment Law. This also involves advising in relation to partnership law and company law. He represents the largest Insurance Company in Ireland, Financial Institutions and an International Food Multiple in relation to their Defence Litigation. He specialises in business advisory work to individual office holders, business owners and Directors of companies large and small, professional sports people.

He has long established relationships with private clients.  He also acts for business people in negotiations in relation to their careers. He appears regularly on radio as a contributor and advises on Defamation Law.
